FRCS (Tr & Orth) case-based discussion course | 25 January 2025
Overview
This course, delivered in partnership with the Orthopaedic Academy, is designed for delegates preparing for the FRCS (Tr & Orth) examinations. It has been meticulously crafted to meet the needs of all candidates, regardless of their preparation stage.
The primary goal is to equip candidates with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the exam. Our teaching faculty, selected for their extensive experience in guiding candidates for the FRCS (T&O) exam, are deeply committed to helping each candidate achieve their highest possible level of success.
The course aims to:
- Identify knowledge gaps that may require additional study and comprehension
- Develop proficiency in answering questions succinctly.
- Simulate real-life clinical or viva situations.
- Provide experience with a wide variety of question types and subjects.
- Delve into high-yield topics and complex concepts.
- Offer insights into key areas of concentration for pre-examination study.
- Teach valuable study techniques and strategies.
Candidates will practice answering a series of questions under the guidance of the teaching faculty. Detailed analysis of these questions and answers will be conducted, focusing on clarifying key points to evaluate comprehension. Ample time will be allotted for questions and personalised feedback.

Firas is fellowship trained consultant in hip and knee arthroplasty .
In addition to that, his passion for FRCS teaching has led him to establish the Orthopaedic Academy, providing webinar based exam teaching for the last 3 years.
He is also the editor of the award winning exam preparation book entitled ‘ Concise Orthopaedic Notes’ that has become one of the main orthopaedic exam revision resources in the UK and internationally .
