Intensive FRCS (Orth) mock viva and clinical exam course | 22 March 2025
Overview
This course, offered in partnership with the Orthopaedic Academy, is tailored for candidates preparing for the part 2 FRCS (Orth) examinations or equivalent. It focuses entirely on mock viva and clinical stations, providing an opportunity to refine knowledge, practice exam techniques, and resolve any uncertainties with the help of an experienced UK-based faculty.
To ensure an optimal learning experience, candidates will be divided into small groups of two participants and will rotate through various workstations. Each workstation will have at least two faculty members, ensuring a 1:1 teaching ratio.
The stations include:
- Basic sciences
- Paediatrics and hands
- Adult pathology
- Trauma
- Intermediate cases – upper limb
- Intermediate cases – lower limb
- Short cases – upper limb
- Short cases – lower limb

Firas is fellowship trained consultant in hip and knee arthroplasty .
In addition to that, his passion for FRCS teaching has led him to establish the Orthopaedic Academy, providing webinar based exam teaching for the last 3 years.
He is also the editor of the award winning exam preparation book entitled ‘ Concise Orthopaedic Notes’ that has become one of the main orthopaedic exam revision resources in the UK and internationally .
