Trauma & Orthopaedics ST3 interview course | 18 February 2023
Overview
This course is designed for candidates applying for trauma & orthopaedics ST3 posts in the coming year. Applicants will have the opportunity to complete 2 x mock interview circuits, under exam conditions with faculty feedback. The lecture programme will provide a whizzthrough of the interview process and teach strategies for doing well at each station. Candidates will be assigned into groups and will rotate between the interview circuits. Stations will include portfolio, prioritisation and clinical.

Miss Elizabeth Hedge
ST7 Registrar
Miss Hedge is a registrar on the Warwick Orthopaedic Surgery Training Programme. She graduated from King’s College London in 2012 and completed foundation training in London. After a few years of working and travelling in Australia, she returned to undertake core surgical training in the East of England before getting an orthopaedic training number in Warwick. Her interests include teaching and hand surgery.
Mr Shiraz Sabah
Hip and Knee Fellow, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and DPhil candidate, University of Oxford
Shiraz is a Hip and Knee Fellow at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre and a DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford. His research centres around patient-relevant outcomes following hip and knee replacement using big data.
Professor John Skinner
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital
John Skinner is Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at RNOH Stanmore with a special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery. He is on the Editorial Board of the BJJ. John is the Immediate Past President of the BOA and has represented the association at high level discussions with NHS England and other stakeholders on elective care.
