Overview
Attend this one day paediatric trauma course designed for junior registrars (ST3-5). This dynamic event combines engaging case-based discussions in the morning with hands-on practical sessions in the afternoon.
Learn about a range of paediatric trauma topics and then rotate through practical stations, including K-wiring of supracondylar fractures, flexible IM nailing, hip spica application, and ankle fracture fixation techniques (including tricky triplane fractures).

Mr Tom Crompton
Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust
Mr Crompton is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Royal Navy and NHS who specialises in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and adult trauma. His areas of expertise includestrauma, hip dysplasia and neuromuscular disease.
Mr Crompton qualified from Barts and the London Medical School and undertook his registrar orthopaedic training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital. He underwent his specialist children’s orthopaedic fellowship at Westmead Children’s hospital in Sydney and the Royal London Hospital. He is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and the British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgery.
