Building a start-up in healthcare – Translating MSK innovation to market
Overview
This workshop will explore how MSK innovations can be successfully translated from research into pre-commercial and commercial ventures. The session will introduce the venture building model and how it enables the transformation of early-stage scientific ideas into viable healthcare start-ups. Participants will gain insight into NLC’s selection process for innovations, key factors influencing market translation, and the collaborative role of inventors, technology transfer offices (TTOs), and venture builders. NLC will share success and learnings using case studies from their portfolio of UK-based and international ventures. The main goal is to have an open discussion about challenges and opportunities in bringing innovations to market.
