This lecture will allow candidates to understand terminology in total knee replacement (TKR) and help them to verbalise concepts.
Mr Jehangir Mahaluxmivala, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Princess Alexandra Hospital
Mr Jehangir Mahaluxmivala is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow and the Ramsay Rivers Hospital. His own special interest is lower limb joint arthroplasty and revision knee surgery.
He completed his orthopaedic training on the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore rotation and also spent time as a visiting fellow in well renowned centres in North America.
He is co-director of the former FRCS (Orth) revision course at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, now the ‘Mahaluxmivala-Sherman FRCS Orth Viva course’.
He has been an invited speaker on national and international conferences. He is on the faculty of numerous teaching courses, including the Harlow total knee replacement course and Cambridge basic science course, and is a former faculty member at the combined BOA BASK instructional course.
He has been a contributing member of the FRCS Mentor group since its inception, and been involved with online teaching and webinars for over a year. To date he has had a combined live audience of over 2500 surgeons.
