ORUK backed start-up achieves positive clinical trial result
Radii Devices, a start-up business supported financially by ORUK, has announced the publication of a comparative clinical study into the effectiveness of its prosthetic socket fitting technology riiForm. The study, which was undertaken in collaboration with University of Southampton and Opcare, validate the data behind riiForm, showing that evidence-generated sockets, made without any clinical adjustments, show no statistical significance to current standard-of-care. The study also found lower variability in comfort scores for evidence-generated sockets, meaning a more consistent experience for patients.
Radii describe this as a huge step forward for data-driven prosthetic design. Starting with a high-quality, evidence-generated baseline allows clinicians to build on a foundation they can trust, helping deliver precise, comfortable outcomes time after time.
