Musculoskeletal health matters: Exploring the lifelong impact of bone & joint wellness

To raise awareness about Bone and Joint Week we held a free webinar on Monday 14 October. Our panellists were Dr Benjamin Ellis, Dr Fiona Watt and Professor Timothy Hales.

Bone and Joint Week is a national action week held annually from October 12th to 20th. It focuses on raising awareness about prevention, disease management and treatment for musculoskeletal disorders including arthritis, back pain, trauma, paediatric conditions and osteoporosis.

This webinar consisted of a panel of 3 experts who looked at why musculoskeletal health is important and how it impacts multiple aspects of a persons life. It discussed menopause and its connection with arthritis and different treatments for the condition. It explored the impact of adverse childhood experiences on chronic pain and responses to treatment in adulthood. There was also time for questions at the end of the webinar.

The audience for this webinar is physiotherapists, occupational therapists, osteopaths, GP’s, fitness and primary care professionals.
